• Make Medical Treatment a priority: The most important thing you can do for yourself after a car accident injury is to make sure you and anyone in your vehicle are safe and unharmed. Go to a doctor to get medically checked out to make sure nothing is wrong, even if you think nothing is wrong it is still important to go, some injuries can have delayed symptoms. Also, be sure to get any treatment if symptoms begin after leaving the scene of your accident. Be aware that some very dangerous conditions can lead to long-term effects and even death if left untreated.
• Always take pictures for proof:  After the accident it is important that you take several pictures of the scene plus any injuries that were sustained. Doing so is great evidence for your case. Unfortunately, if you were injured in the accident ask a friend or family member to take pictures for you.
• As a witness for any information they may have seen: If there was a witness nearby when the accident occurred talk to them and get their contact information. Be especially sure to get all contact information, insurance information, and car information of all those involved in the accident.

• Keep bills and receipts that pertain to your injuries: Save any bills and receipts that relate to your injuries. We can always help you collect these bills later, but it is easier if you start saving them right away.
